CKLS and Over-The-Counter Laxatives
A laxative is something that loosens the bowel with the intent of improving regularity. They come in various forms and generally can be divided into to two groups, natural (from a food or whole plant source) and synthetic (created in a laboratory from coarse matter).
Natural laxatives usually contain fiber (plant matter that holds water) and thus cause the colon to retain water. As an example your bulk-forming laxatives contain plant materials, such as cellulose and psyllium, both fibers that pass through the digestive tract without being digested. In the intestines, these materials absorb liquid and swell, making the stool soft, bulky, and easier to pass and this is what you would call a natural process that does not interfere with the body’s natural eliminative functions.
Synthetic laxatives contain chemicals such as Magnesium Citrate and Magnesium Oxide that stimulate the muscles and nerves in the lumen (interior wall) of the intestines. Neither of these molecular agents are easily assimilated into the colon wall and it is usually these very types of laxatives that give rise to concerns about interference with the body’s natural processes that can cause irritation (colon), imbalance, and dependency over time.
Although these laxatives are popular (due to marketing and advertising) and effective, they should be used with care, as they are more likely to cause side effects you should be concerned about. They work more quickly and powerfully than natural laxatives because they are more chemically based, industrially produced, but over time, have latent side- effects upon the body. Examples of these laxatives are your average over-the-counter brands such as bisacodyl (Correctol) and senna (Senokot).
CKLS is not a laxative, it is a natural whole plant bowel normalizer that restores regularity without interfering with bodily functions or negatively interacting with any current medication you may be taking. Since CKLS helps keep the bowel clean it also helps keep the blood, cells, and tissues clean and thus it is also a blood purifier. CKLS even though it has bacteriocidal properties against harmful bacteria in the colon, also contains fiber which retains water and therefore promotes regularity within the bowel environment.
In an ideal society and most importantly in today’s world the whole plant ingredients in CKLS (should be) and are nothing more than the essential nutrients of the everyday human diet. In short, CKLS, although not a laxative, has some properties that cause it to be interpreted as a laxative.
CKLS’s chief assignment is to help those principal organs (colon, kidneys, liver, spleen)— whose job it is to remove toxins and waste from the bloodstream—work much more efficiently. It does this indirectly by re-establishing natural regularity within the colon environment.
CKLS can be taken on a daily basis to establish regularity by keeping the digestive tract unobstructed from fibreless debris. This results in improved nutrient, mineral, vitamin absorption and consequently better health.
The whole plant sources in CKLS are a natural part of the human diet, so there can be no danger of dependency, side effects, or drug interactions of any kind.
While regularity is being established with CKLS it is recommended that you include more whole foods, i.e., raw fruits, vegetables, flaxseed, organic oats, whole grain, ect., which contain natural fiber in your diet.
